There are a few issues with TS4 that EA/Maxis hasn't yet addressed. With GTW, for example, it is unnecessarily difficult to complete your work day with the full points because of the buggy time system and constant lagging. I pause the game and impatiently wait for the task to complete so that I can get my sim to work on the next one.Another problem with TS4 is that even if you are on a date, every other sim besides your date will come to talk to you. I've already seen other simmers here on Reddit complain about sims at different tables joining each other's conversations in Dine Out. That tiny little problem might irritate me enough that I'm not sure if it's worth it.I've also seen other complaints here on Reddit about Dine Out, so I'm just coming to ask if everyone who bought it thinks it was worth the buy so far.
The latest “Sim 4” game pack titled “Dine Out” will be released on June 7. After several months of a 'Sims 4' news drought, Electronic Arts (EA). Jun 07, 2016 Own a restaurant and take your Sims out to eat with The Sims™ 4 Dine Out. Create and manage a variety of restaurants, hire staff, and set the perfect menu to earn a profit and expand your business. Dine out with Sims to enjoy all-new experimental cuisine and spend quality time with friends and family. KEY FEATURES Create unique restaurants.
Are the glitches enough to make you regret your purchase, or do you think the new feature of being able to take your sims out to eat and running your own restaurant is well worth the buy? In theory it seems like the coolest thing, but with many of TS4's problems I worry that it'd just be another annoyance!. That sounds so fun! It really takes dating and socializing to a whole new level in my opinion. Are you still able to do most of the social interactions while sitting at a table? I've noticed that on dates or when trying to pick up another sim at the bar;) you will often have to stand up or just move in general to complete a certain interaction.
This makes for a bunch of sims constantly sitting and standing and then sitting and standing. It's just a mild annoyance, but I'm wondering if Dine Out seems efficient in that regard?. I bought Dine Out and I like having restaurants back but my game has a lot bugs now.I get 5+ sad clowns in my restaurant at a time, with their dumb clown hair constantly crying.I have issues with employees showing up at work, so to fix it I have to fire and re-hire the sim.
This mostly happens with chefs. There is another issue where a Sim is seated at a table, orders food, gets up, and a different party is seated there. The original party never receives food and storms away angrily about 9+ sim hours later. The management role leaves a lot to be desired. There are only a handful of 'management' related interactions with guests.Employees are very difficult to keep satisfied as well once you've maxed their skills and promotions, even with a lot of friendly interaction and praise.I hope these bugs (and others) will be fixed in the upcoming patches.BUT! As far as dining out at an NPC restaurant, I haven't had any issues at all and really love that aspect of the gameplay. It took my sims about 6 in game hours to have dinnerYikes. That's what one thing that would really bother me about the game.
However, reading that it only happened once and the rest of your outings went much smoother makes me feel a lot better about it! I'm so tempted to buy it. I think I'm going to wait until more information comes out from other players before I make my final decision. Also, it should be noted that I did not have issues with sims walking around or other sims interfering with conversations with my seated sims.I wonder why some people's sims did behave in this way. It must be mods that are affecting the GP's quality?. It's weird, because I haven't had any glitches.
The only ones I did have was when I had a particular mod in; before that, and after removing it, my game has been great. The employees do what they're supposed to. You have to train them, but they seem to learn and do better. The diners sit in their seats and as a diner, my Sims sit together and only talk to one another.I haven't observed any additional lagginess, either.
And I'm still playing with mods and a bunch of CC. Also playing on a save game that I've had since the release of TS4.I can't say you'll have the same experience, but it's been great for me. Plus, it's really, REALLY fun. I'm enjoying it more than Spa Day and Get Together combined, tbh, haha.
I just realized we were already talking in another thread somewhere about this exact situation. Thank you for continuously sharing your experiences with me about MCCC and Dine Out.Unfortunately, I use MCCC for a wide range of different things. I love the story-line mod, like how it gets NPCs married and pregnant, and am a huge fan of risky woohoo. I would sooo like to keep it, if I can. I hope that Deaderpool will update the mods so that MCCC is compatible with Dine Out. Are you asking what MC Command Center actually IS? I thought you were asking what the abbreviation meant, you didn't clarify.Anyway, if its the former you're asking, it's a mod which basically cleans up and modifies the game.
If you're familiar with Twallan's Nraas mods from TS3, it's similar. MCCC gives you better control over townies, allows story progression (like townies getting married or having babies on their own), and 'fixes' some of the features in TS4 (like removes or changes the culling system, reduces the amount of townies thr game generates, etc.) It's a powerful module that a lot of people find essential for gameplay. Hope that helps you. As with all packs it depends on your personal playstyle. If you like micro management games, like any of the tycoon series games or similar it adds an element of that to the sims. I do so i enjoy it, also if you mod it's nice to not have top worry about not having a mesh for something a piece of CC or mod requires so i also bought it for that dumb reason lol.
But i don't regret it, it's only $20, if i didn't spend it there i would have spent it on some tangible item i don't need or have room for in my life. Moral of the story. There is nothing wrong with hoarding as long as it's just data.
